How to apply for best results
1. Prep your skin & the Frownies patches
Start with a clean face and apply your usual skincare. If you’re using a serum or moisturizer, allow it to fully absorb before applying your Frownies.
Pro tip: Frownies Face & Neck Moisturizer is lightweight and quick-absorbing — perfect for patch prep.
Tear or cut the Frownies along the perforations into individual triangles. Identify the shiny side of each patch — that’s where the adhesive lives.
2. Wet then wait
Lightly moisten the shiny side using Frownies Rose Water Hydrator, Calming Toner, or warm water. Use your finger to spread the moisture evenly across the surface of the patch.
Set the moistened patches down (shiny side up) and allow them to sit for up to 90 seconds.
3. Cover the
Gently smooth any visible lines on your forehead with one hand, and apply the patch with the other. Press and hold for 15–20 seconds to ensure it adheres well.
Overlap patches to create a “mosaic” that covers the full forehead — from in between the brows, up to the hairline, and from side to side towards the temples.
Pro tip: Starting between the brows and working outward is often the most effective.
5. Wear for best results
Wear your Frownies overnight, or for at least 3 hours. The stillness helps support smoother-looking skin by morning.
Use daily for 30 nights to begin — consistency is key. After that, use as needed depending on your skin and lifestyle.
6. Remove gently
In the morning, soak the patches with warm water to soften the adhesive. Gently slide your fingers under each patch while continuing to splash with water.
Prefer showers? Leave your Frownies on and let the steam and water help loosen them naturally.

What are Frownies Facial Patches for the forehead and between eyes wrinkles?
Frownies Facial Patches are non-invasive wrinkle reducing patches worn while you sleep or for a minimum of three hours. Frownies Facial Patches act to form a cast, holding the facial muscles flat, preventing expressions that cause wrinkles. Frownies Facial Patches also release tension in the muscles which helps to smooth existing lines.
Frownies Facial Patches have been safely used by women for over 130 years. Additionally, product safety testing has been conducted under the control of dermatologists, to ensure that Frownies are non irritant, and hypoallergenic.
Frownies Facial Patches are HRIPT tested: tested by a dermatologist, to be hypoallergenic, non-irritating and suitable for sensitive skin.
We have tested a variety of materials for our patches and paper is the safest and healthiest for the skin. Because silicone and latex are common allergens, Frownies patches and products are Latex and silicone free.
If you have concerns about the adhesive reacting with your skin or your skincare, test the product or the products together on your forearm or wrist.
The adhesive sticks to the skin and does not absorb into the skin just like a Band-Aid or skin glue. The adhesive is water activated so it will release without any irritation to the skin when properly wet to remove.

Q: What are Frownies Facial Patches made of?
A: Frownies Facial Patches are made from unbleached, kraft paper and a water-activated starch-based adhesive. Paper allows the skin to breath, unlike silicones that occlude the skin.
Q: Do I have to use Frownies Facial Patches every night?
A: We recommend using Frownies Facial Patches every night for 30 days. After you have achieved the results you're looking for, you may be able to wear your Frownies less often for maintenance.
Q: How long does one box last?
A: Each box of Frownies Facial Patches contains a long strip of perforated paper that can be torn into 144 individual patches. Typically Frownies users wear 4-6 patches per night for partial coverage or 6-10 patches for full coverage, depending on the length and depth of their lines and the size of their forehead. In general, you will get approximately 15 - 35 applications of nightly wear from one box.
Q: Sometimes the Frownies leaves an imprint on my skin around the edges, what am I doing wrong?
A: We recommend covering the full forehead to act like a splint, overlapping the patches to minimize imprints around each patch. When you apply the patches be careful not to pull or over stretch the skin. After removing your patches apply Frownies Moisturizer or Skin Serum and the imprint will quickly fade.
Q: The Frownies are a little too large is it okay to cut it to a smaller size?
A: Yes. Trim the edges down to a size that is comfortable for you.
Q: Does the shiny backing peel off?
A: No. The shiny backing is a starch-based adhesive that is water activated. Simply moisten the shiny side with Frownies Rose Water Hydrator Spray or warm water.
Q: I am having trouble making the patch stick what am I doing wrong?
A: Make sure you are applying the patch to freshly washed skin and that all your skincare is fully absorbed. Wet the patches with 1-2 pumps of Rose Water Hydrator Spray or warm water, then wait -- up to 90 seconds -- for the patch to begin to curl and the adhesive to become tacky.
Q: Can I use my night creams with Frownies?
A: Frownies Moisturizer is a perfect compliment to the patches because it absorbs quickly. If trying the patches with other creams or moisturizers make sure you allow at least 15 minutes absorption time before applying the patch.
Q: Can I use Frownies Facial Patches with "Retinol," "Tretinoin," and/or "Retin A" creams?
A: We recommend consulting your physician prior to adding new products to your skincare routine. We do not recommend using Frownies Facial Patches on skin that is already irritated or peeling.
Q: Will the ingredients in Frownies Facial Patches react with my other products?
A: Frownies Facial Patches do not contain "active" ingredients. However, as with any new skincare product, we suggest performing a patch test to determine your own sensitivities.
Q: What are the active ingredients in Frownies Facial Patches?
A: There are no active ingredients. Frownies act as a splint or a cast.
Q: Can the Frownies Facial Patches be used on the neck?

How to Apply Frownies

5. Wear overnight or for at least 3 hours.
6. Remove with warm water, in the shower, or sweat them off during your morning workout — if you’re into that kind of thing.
